In response to my suggestion that every in show development an act should be created, here is a thread in which to put acts that we come up with that do not have a show attached yet.
Wheeeee.

Yay! Okay so, we came up with the TUBE act last Sunday; let's see if I can retrieve all of the ideas that had been arranged. Enter: Giant tube (roughly the size of the rolled up karate mat in SLounge) Enter: three people sitting on mat, evenly spaced, all facing the same direction Action: one person scoots towards the middle, the middle scoots the other way, and the last scoots further still. Action: the middle scoots a little to the left, and a little to the right, creating more space for themselves. Enter: two new people sit down in these spaces, VERY close to the middle person. Action: middle person falls down. Feet appear. Action: People begin to shift positions, creating the human braiding affect with all five individuals; over, under, over, under. Action: Middle person (from earlier) stops the process and gets everyone to lie down. Then he/she lies down on top of them; victory! Action: other people roll middle person off the tube! -gasp- (and that's about as far as we got, but I have some other ideas...) Idea: middle person crawls into the tube, but someone else crawls out the other end. Idea: there are people passing items back and forth between the tube; playing. When the audience's attention can be focused on them (perhaps as a distraction when sets are being changed or people are just moving around) the items start changing while in the tube. People might pop out of the tube as well. Suggestion: at some point, we really have to roll the tube around, with both people rolling it and walking on top of it (maybe inside it as well). Materials required: Giant fliping Tube.

I think, and feel you guys probably agree, that poi acts always always always look cooler if you have more than one person spinning, and everyone making the same (or nearly the same) motions. Plus, the amount of skill it will require of each individual poi spinner diminishes as you increase the number of poi spinners performing.
It's, lyk, maff or something.
As far as poi acts are concerned, I think it's fairly standard that if we do glow poi there should be rock&roll or techno, and flag poi = gypsy music.
