I need volunteers!
OPRA's asked us to do a taster workshop or two for their event on (Sunday February 4th, or perhaps it was Saturday the 3rd? I'll find out). Other programmes- Frisbee, swimming, kayaking, hiking, biking, etc. will be doing short courses too. The idea is for students who never got around to trying any of those things get the chance for an introduction, to try them out at least.
It'll be pretty similar to the thing we did last Spring for admission accepted students day.
I was thinking we could have maybe 4 leaders for about 16-20 people. in perhaps 3 stations: -face-painting (just have the materials out) -acrobalance/acrobatics (mostly groups stuff) -juggling (all our toys - probably including stilts)
So there's me, plus 3 other people? At least one other comfortable with spotting for acro, one who can explain how to use various toys, maybe give a 3-ball juggling lesson, and one to roam & facepaint & relieve ppl of duties.
We'll be in the South Lounge & just outside of it. The whole thing would be between an hour & a half and 2 hours.
Here's the perk: free dinner at the end of the day, in the Red Barn, accompanied by a slideshow of the day's activities. Pretty cool!
Post here, or email me if you're interested in helping out...

so, volunteers: as soon as you can, pop in and see amanda in the RCC (she's in the room in the front lobby, under the stairs) and give her $10 and your name. you'll get the money back when we're done: it's their way of making sure people show up - they do it for leaders and participants alike for most OPRA events...
also, 3 or 4 people would be better than 5, so if there's someone who's not sure about committing, just let me know!

actually, it would be fun, so if someone else backs out I would love to still be involved, but with 3/4 being better then 4/5, I'm willing to back out.
