Hey all, in addition to my normal weight lifting, I've been goofing around with some gymnastics stuff I've found in some articles. This is an article detailing how to progress towards a front lever and a planche. www.dragondoor.com/articler/mode3/229/ This is more of the same really. www.dragondoor.com/articler/mode3/36/ The site also has some good (though dogmatic) articles on strength training if anyone cares. Dammit I miss circus. -Tom

Hi all! I've been trying to work out like three times a week. I've been taking kick-boxing classes on and off and plan to take yoga. I went into a bridge the other day and realized how stiff I am and how bendy I used to be. So, I'm gonna try to start stretching everyday. I'm starting to learn contact with a stage ball. Is is gonna be much different when I transition to using an actual contact ball? I'm wondering whether I should go ahead and get a contact ball since the weights are different. Wow, it takes a lot of patience and repetition!!! What are the absolute easiest tricks? -Josie

Stage ball should be fine - that's how I learned elbow stalls. The weight adjustment won't throw you off that much, and I find it nice to be able to swtich between different types of balls. And forget about absolute easiest tricks - the first thing you need to do is learn the butterfly because so many tricks and routines are built off of that. Easiest trick however would be a gripped isolation.
