And overseerers of everything. yes, we'd need to be on top of the world to see it all. and say, on the invitations, inside of BYOB, it should be BYOE, BRING-YOUR-OWN-EVERYTHING!!!

Trampy Sarah (man that sounds bad out of context): I hope you like popcorn, then.
Blue hair Sar: *enormous grin* I heart my title.
Uhhh...and I don't have anything relevent to contribute to the con thing at the moment, other than that I really hope we can do rigging now especially I'm learning trapeze (yay for hot pink hands) and can finally seem cool at something.

ooh, hooray! so happy - sar & victoria, i had those same thought & it's nice to know y'all did too & moreover are better at articulating them! yes spring, yes commitees, yes limited attendees (invite only?). and another thought: perhaps make this first conference regional, to cut down on travel expenses for those coming. say, make it the northeast - especially since the main 5 or 6 colleges are from new york, ohio, illinois, massachusetts, etc. that's also help for getting the word out, for bringing more specificity & cohesion to the whole project at this stage. after all, there's a lot of circus activity, official and casual, on the west cost already - this would be a step toward uniting and spotlighting north-east circus-in-the-making! and yes, t-shirts. i think another stencil is in order!! oh, and i volunteer for the hamp contacts bit. and i'll use sarah a's with that, since she's into organizing & bureaucratic bs & i guess that connects me significantly with the financial aspect, too... sigh.

so, to keep things going... sarah t tara victoria juliana sarah a have volunteered to be involved in the planning-and-execution of SCRC 2007. and i just looked up the 2007-08 calendar. our spring break is March 15-23 (including the weekends at each end - so 9 days). i think planning to have it then is a good idea. besides that, we should definitely get together a basic plan (or at least a basic write-up of what we've been thinking) to send around to the higher-ups at Hampshire so we can start figuring out how to have this really happen! then we can tell the other schools and gage interest then we'll be ready to start actually working, ha.

But everything on campus is closed during spring break, including the RCC... and I think 9 days is a little much, especially for the first year. CLPP is three days (friday, sat, sun), and most other conferences and conventions I know about are just 3-4 days tops. I do want to see this happen though! Maybe some earlier weekend in March?

Haha, guess I misunderstood. It would be pretty amazing to have a 9-day conference. Campus (saga, RCC, library, etc) is open, with I think some reduced hours, for October break. But it's completely closed for thanksgiving and spring break, I know dorm people have to fend for themselves food-wise and I think the RCC is closed, though the library may be open. Here's a thing that has spring break dates of a bunch of colleges: interoz.com/springbreak/dates_2007.phpNot all colleges are on there though, because we aren't so we'll just have to look at the dates of the ones we're targeting.

I am pumped and I alreayd have someone who has more/less committed to speak/professionally instruct an aerials workshop. Her name is Suz and shes an aerials coach here at Smirkus Camp. She works for Nimble Arts. Tara, im coming into Boston the night of August 4th and leaving either the 6th or 7th. Will most def get atcha once I am done with Smirkus. Today is the kids show. Lotsa excitement, I designed a contact dance/tumbling routine for them and to ensure they do a good job, im gonna tell them Cirque Di Soilel is scouting in the audience. BWAHAHA. JOKES!
